Kount CEO Wiskirchen Tapped as Speaker for IMF’s “Digital Disruptions to the Financial System” Panel14-Apr-2016
Boise, Idaho – April 14, 2016 – Kount Inc., a leading innovator of solutions for fraud and risk management, today announced that CEO Brad Wiskirchen has been invited to speak at the International Monetary Fund’s (IMF) flagship event, "Digital Disruptions to the Financial System: Opportunities and Threats,” during IMF’s 2016 Spring Meetings.
Addressing the rapid growth of FinTech and increasing cyber security risks, the panel will be chaired by José Viñals, Financial Counselor of the Fund and include panelists Sarah Bloom Raskin, Deputy Secretary, U.S. Department of the Treasury; Greg Medcraft, Chairman, IOSCO; and Thomas Harrington, Chief Information Security Officer at Citi, in addition to Wiskirchen.
These thought leaders will discuss how the rapid rise of cyber risks and their potential to disrupt global financial stability have elevated cybersecurity to a top policy priority. Cyber risks are now regarded by policymakers as a leading threat to the global financial system. The key cyber security vulnerability from a systemic risk perspective is related to the heavy reliance of financial institutions on information technology and communications, and in particular, the highly interconnected nature of these systems. The discussion will focus on how well the financial sector can deal with potential disruptions.
Wiskirchen’s role as CEO of leading ecommerce fraud mitigation company, Kount, will inform his unique point of view around how technology companies are working with national organizations and the government to combat the growing threat of fraud. Among his many industry and community involvements, Wiskirchen served as the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Salt Lake City Branch of the Federal Reserve Bank of San Francisco from 2014-2015. Details of the panel follow.

Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:30 p.m.
