A Year in Innovation and Accomplishment
From our home state to abroad, we’ve been fortunate to be honored for both Kount’s innovative approach and the results we’ve delivered to our customers who rely on Kount to boost sales and beat fraud.
In May, we received an honor from those we focus on every day: our customers. At the 2013 CNP Awards, Kount took home the Customer Choice Award for Overall Fraud/Security Solution. All accolades are special to our team, but to win an award at a premier industry event that was voted on by the customer base is truly an honor. It was the second consecutive Customer’s Choice Award for Kount.
In late October we attended the Idaho Innovation Awards, the only program in the state dedicated to recognize the innovations, innovative professionals and companies here in Idaho. More than 30 leaders from Idaho's business, technology and academic communities reviewed details about how we’ve developed our company, our solution and the success we’ve shared with customers in beating fraud. When the final tally was in, Kount was recognized as the Innovative Company of the Year, a designation that reflects innovation through a company’s management style, product line, or service approach.
Fittingly, our founder Tim Barber was also honored at the event as part of the Idaho Technology Council’s Hall of Fame ceremonies. Clearly his vision to create Kount and our sister company Clickbank were part of the legacy Tim was recognized for, among several other notable accomplishments that earned him this distinguished role in Idaho technology history. More recently, we spent time in London at the 2013 Payments Awards with our friends at Jagex, the largest independent games developer and publisher in the UK. Together we earned Europe’s Anti-Fraud/Security Solution of the Year award, based on the substantial benefits that Kount Complete™ has added to Jagex’s bottom line by reducing its transaction rejection rate by 50% with no increase in chargeback rate, earning the company 1% more in net credit card revenue annually. Additionally, conversion rate on longer-term membership subscriptions increased 3% to 4%. Jagex was also able to save hundreds of thousands of pounds per year by shutting off other security measures no longer necessary.
We were proud to share the stage with Jagex at the FStech and Retail Systems Payments Awards, which recognizes cards and payments excellence and technology innovation within EMEA. And while we cherish this award, we take more pride in providing customers like Jagex with an easy-to-implement solution customizable to their specific needs that enables them to do more business in more places without any increased risk. To us, this is where our innovation translates into accomplishments that make a difference.
