2018 is almost in the books. As the industry leader of card-not-present fraud prevention, Kount has continued its tradition of delivering best practices, industry trends and thought leadership surrounding the most pressing issues in the online payments and fraud industry.
To undertake this task of educating customers, partners and prospects, Kount deploys a multitude of content touchpoints throughout the year, including whitepapers, news releases, media relations, eBooks, targeted marketing campaigns, educational (and humorous) videos, annual events as well as in-person, one-on-one events. One of Kount’s most successful annual event series is its global education-focused Payments and Fraud 360 series.
Now in its fifth year, Kount’s Payments and Fraud 360 event series is focused on addressing the changing landscape of fraud and specifically the most pressing issues currently influencing online payments and fraud. Because fraud is continually in flux, Kount has historically used the Fraud 360 events to educate the attendees of timely threats and the evolving litany of new payment types, technologies, and trends adapting to the consumer spending habits online. Specific topics focused on during the 2018 series include fraud trends, global transaction insights, eCommerce data, and changes in the payment landscape.
Since February, Kount’s fearless events manager, Jordyn Price and her team have logged some significant miles to pull off the events (to the tune of 100K+ air miles), facilitated more than 50 unique presentations and spoken to hundreds of merchant customers and prospects. This experience has allowed Kount and its select partners (BlueSnap, Chargeback911, Braintree/PayPal, Whitepages Pro, CardNotPresent, Moneris and Ethoca) to engage with customers and prospects to update them on changes in the industry and current fraud fighting solutions to better stop fraud and increase customer and brand loyalty.
In 2018, Kount has successfully hosted 12 unique events that spanned from London in February to Tel Aviv in May to Utah at the beginning of October. In between those events, Kount hosted Payments & Fraud 360 seminars in Melbourne, Sydney, San Francisco, Los Angeles, Boston, New York, Chicago, Toronto, and Phoenix.
A key sampling of the presentations from Kount and several of its key partners can be found below. These presentations set the tone for interactive conversations that are changing how merchants address fraud across the globe.
- “What Fraudsters Are Up To And What You Can Do About It” – Don Bush, Kount
- “Navigating a New Era of Payments” – Daniel Nelson, Braintree
- “What an All-in-One Payment Platform Means for Commerce & Your Bottom Line” – Ralph Dangelmeier, BlueSnap
- “Why Can’t We Be Friends: Chargeback Fraud Is Anything But Friendly” – Nate Foss, Chargebacks911
- “The Revenue Mindset Shift: Addressing False Positives” – Sam Hartung, Whitepages Pro
The positive response that Kount has received from the global fraud industry has propelled Kount to host a global webinar wrap-up. The webinar will be held on Wednesday, November 14th and will represent a compilation of presentations and insights that were shared throughout the entire year during the Payments and Fraud 360 events.
